Scaling Google Ads slowly vs aggressively — does account age really matter?

Hey everyone, I’m debating how cautious I really need to be when scaling Google Ads. I’ve read tons of conflicting advice: some people say “go slow or you’ll get flagged,” others claim that if the funnel works, you should push budget hard and fast. My concern is account age and trust. I’ve had new accounts struggle even with conservative scaling, while older ones seem to tolerate changes better. Is this just coincidence, or does account history actually influence how safely you can scale? I’m especially interested in real-world experiences — not theory — including mistakes you made early on and what you’d do differently today.

From what I’ve seen, account age and behavior patterns absolutely influence scaling tolerance. New accounts are watched more closely, and sudden budget jumps can look unnatural even if everything is policy-compliant. Older accounts with consistent spend and clean history usually absorb changes better. That doesn’t mean you can be reckless, but it gives more room for testing and faster scaling. Personally, I now treat new accounts like probation periods and use trusted or pre-aged accounts when I know I’ll need flexibility early on. I learned a lot about how these accounts are prepared and typically used by reading through https://adwordsresources.com/en/  it clarified why slow scaling isn’t superstition, but pattern recognition. Smart pacing still beats brute force every time.
