Mountain Bike Skills Clinic:

Bentonville, AR July 5-8, 2019 Come join Crystal Anthony and Craig Wohlschlaeger for a long weekend of mountain bike skills practice with a special treat: Crystal's own whole food cooking to fuel you! You’ll also get to experience the ever growing network of amazing trails in the new mountain bike destination of Bentonville, AR.  Gain confidence on your mountain bike in a safe and supportive small-group environment with personalized instruction.  Feel free to participate hands-on with meal prep, or if you prefer, just enjoy the finished products; either way you will come away with a packet of new recipes that taste great and also fuel your body well. Included:

  • 3 nights of lodging

  • Cost: $575/person, all-inclusive. *Note that if you do not have an active USA Cycling license, you may purchase one-day licenses for the weekend during the BikeReg registration process.  Fee will increase to $600 on April 5.

Preliminary Schedule

Day 1

Arrive anytime. Local airport is Fayettville, AR (XNA)

12-1 lunch on your own, downtown Bentonville

2:00-4:00 pre-clinic TT & first skills session 

4:30-5:30 settle at AirBnB

6:00-7:00 dinner: vegan zucchini lasagna (meat optional)

7:30 intro to weekend schedule/ goals/ etc

 

Day 2

8:00-9:00 breakfast: snickerdoodle smoothie bowls & eggs

10:00-12:00 morning session: skills leading into training ride

12:30-1:30 lunch: greens & tahini soup

2:00-3:30 afternoon session: 

recovery smoothies

4:00-6:00 free time to explore Bentonville / shop / massage/ yoga

6:30-7:30 dinner: bibimbap

8:00 Q &A

 

Day 3

8:00-9:00 breakfast: golden milk overnight oatmeal & eggs

10:00-12:00 morning session: skills leading into training ride

12:30 -1:30 lunch: bbq beans with corn bread

2:00-4:00 afternoon session & post-clinic TT to measure progress!

4:30-6 free time to pack

6:30-7:30 dinner: arepas with black beans, plantains, guacamole 

 

Day 4

Breakfast: blueberry oatbran muffins to go

Optional: longer endurance ride on the Back 40 Trails (if you can get a later flight!)
