Carley Leins

Carley is not only a teacher but also a quick learner herself. She's a motivated and determined racer who enjoys putting the hurt on, but as a recently certified Wilderness First Responder, she's also the caring and capable person you want around if you get hurt! An active member in the Oregon cycling community, Carley is passionate about helping others pursue their cycling goals as well as working toward her own goals. With cyclocross nationals coming to her home in the Pacific North West, she has her sights on competing in her first CX Nationals.

"I’m a middle school teacher by day and an adventurer, cyclist, and Team Nonstop captain outside of school hours. I’m a loyal member of the dirt church, whether on my mountain bike or CX bike, and a reluctant, but determined roadie. The beauty of the PNW and my badass teammates, friends, and boyfriend are a constant motivation to get outside and pedal my bike. As a member of the Oregon Women’s Cycling Committee, I also love to get out and ride with women who are new to the sport and see them gain confidence and have fun as they progress!

A few accomplishments that I feel pretty good about are taking the leap to move cross-country from Virginia to follow my passions, finishing first in the Women’s â…” category at one of Portland’s biggest CX series, and heading up a team of amazing women shredders here in Oregon. I hope to continue to hold my own in cyclocross as I begin racing in the ½ category, take my first trip to CX Nats in Tacoma, and support some incredible up and coming teammates as they continue to crush the CX scene!

Give me a follow @carleycue and follow along with @teamnonstop to see what we’re up to!"
