Gravel Endurance Camp:

Bentonville, AR May 4-7, 2023 Come join Crystal Anthony and Craig Wohlschlaeger for a long weekend gravel camp with a special treat: Crystal's own whole food cooking to fuel you! Mornings will entail 3-4 hour supported rides on the expansive network of beautiful gravel roads in and around Bentonville, AR.  Afternoons will focus on educational workshops covering topics such as fueling long rides and events, making equipment choices, navigating gravel event logistics, and more. Gain confidence on your gravel bike in a supportive small-group environment with personalized instruction.  Feel free to participate hands-on with meal prep, or if you prefer, just enjoy the finished products; either way you will come away with a packet of new recipes that taste great and also fuel your body well. Preliminary Schedule

Day 1

Arrive anytime. Local airport is Fayettville, AR (XNA)

12-1 lunch on your own, downtown Bentonville

2:00-4:00 shake-out gravel ride 

4:30-5:30 settle at AirBnB

6:00-7:00 dinner: chicken shawarma with cabbage salad, rice, and tahini dressing; "cheesecake"

7:30 intro to weekend schedule/ goals/ etc

 

Day 2

8:00-9:00 breakfast: matcha smoothies & eggs

9:30-2:00 supported gravel endurance ride

2:30-3:30 late lunch: homemade seeded sourdough bread with sandwich options; cut vegetables

4:00-5:30 afternoon session: bike set-up & equipment choices

6:30-7:30 dinner: mango chicken with rice; sourdough brownies

Day 3

8:00-9:00 breakfast: strawberry zinger overnight oatmeal & eggs

9:30-2:00 supported gravel endurance ride

2:30 -3:30 late lunch: sesame noodle salad

4:00-5:30 afternoon session: race tactics and event considerations

6:30-7:30 dinner: enchilada stuffed sweet potatoes; coffee cake

8:00-9:00 breakfast: chocolate donuts

9:30-12:00 supported gravel endurance ride
